Is The Grass Greener

I have just got back from a stunning trip round the USA, visiting the West Coast and the East coast. I stayed in lovely hotels and met very interesting people. I saw the Fish Market in Seattle, the stunning shore line of Chicago and had dinner in a restaurant in Malibu, overlooking the Ocean. However, I was on my own as it was a business trip and I realised that I would be thrilled to be home, back to my family, my friends and my connections. Does this mean that people matter more than anything else and that you can be happy in any circumstances so long as you have the people who matter to you all around?

I completely agree. You can be living in splendour in the most beautiful place in the world, but if you don't have people who matter you are never going to be happy. Its great to have different experiences in life but true happiness comes from having supportive people. Having said that, I recently read an article where a woman lived in solitude in the Highlands - she said it was the only place she felt there was enough silence to enjoy herself! Not my thing, but we're all different!
